Course overview
PASMA Towers for Users is the recognised entry-level qualification for tower users across the construction, facilities management and industrial sectors. The course covers the safe assembly, inspection, use, dismantling and storage of mobile access towers, in line with current PASMA guidance and EN 1004 standards.
Delivered at our training centre or on-site at your premises, the course combines classroom theory with hands-on practical assessment — giving delegates the knowledge and the confidence to work safely at height.
What you’ll learn
- Current legislation and guidance for working at height with mobile access towers
- The PASMA Code of Practice
- Product standards: EN 1004-1, BS 8620 and BS 1139:6
- Safe assembly, altering and dismantling of mobile access towers using approved methods
- Inspection of completed towers and completion of Tower Inspection Records
- Identifying and avoiding the hazards associated with tower use
What you’ll get on completion
- PASMA photo ID card valid for 5 years
- Recognition under the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS)
- Certified competence to use mobile access towers at work
Who it’s for
This course is suitable for anyone who works with mobile access towers — including operatives, supervisors, scaffolders, painters, electricians, M&E contractors, facilities and maintenance teams, and site managers. No prior experience is required.
