Intro
If you manage or supervise people who work with mobile access towers, you’re responsible for making sure that work is properly planned, that your team is competent, and that towers are correctly inspected and maintained. This one-day course gives you the knowledge to do exactly that.
Towers for Managers is classroom-based theory — there’s no practical element and no tower climbing, so no PPE is required. It’s about knowing what “good” looks like from the ground, before, during and after work begins.
What’s covered
Through a combination of theory and group discussion, you will learn about:
- Current legislation, regulations and guidance affecting work at height with mobile access towers
- The PASMA Code of Practice
- Assembling, altering and dismantling mobile access towers, including current best practice for fall protection
- Inspection of completed towers and completing Tower Inspection Records
- Hazards affecting the use of mobile access towers
Who it’s for
This course is aimed at people who don’t use towers themselves — site managers, safety professionals, supervisors and company directors. It suits those who already manage tower users but have never been formally trained, and those re-taking the course after an earlier qualification expires.
